Cutting benefits will push people into work? There are 5 seeking work for every 1 available job!

  1. Hari, Do the figures shown for the underemployed include sole traders, self employed etc who are earning too little to pay tax, or very low rates of tax? I believe they come under a different category, but not 100% sure?

    1. Under-employment data from ONS is only for people working for someone else - i.e. part-timers and temps. No data on underemployment among the self-employed.
